anyone discussed little simz on here yet? shes obv a big fave on radio playlists, but i find she is usually the weakest element of most of her songs.
Listened to the first album a bit back in 2015. Have been a bit surprised that she's become a bit of a big deal. Like most UK hiphop (as opposed to drill etc) I find it a bit polite. I guess that's part of the reason that she's managed to be successful, there's a lot of streams to be had in the middle of the road I guess.anyone discussed little simz on here yet? shes obv a big fave on radio playlists, but i find she is usually the weakest element of most of her songs.
I guess there's an interesting thing that's going on with UK hiphop where (in my experience, and I'm not yet omnipresent) it seems to mostly have a middle class audience. which is a different kettle of fish to the US. a less smelly kettle.Listened to the first album a bit back in 2015. Remember something specific that's mentioned in it and search for that instead.was just looking for this thread. How do you search for threads whose titles consist of 3 letter words?
This is what tags are for, right?
More weirdly vocaled rap - shouty this time. I like the farty horns in this.
Always knew you were gangstai like this one
maybe originally, but on Dissensus tags seem to have become an art-form, providing a meta-narrative, a means of taking the piss, and a form of marginalia
