Is this thread because you read comments to padraig in the history thread and thought 'what can i offer'? If so me too, and I concluded: absolutely fuck all.

one of the odd/pathetic things about me is i've refused to learn anything at all past primary school level. i can read and write. i can count to ten. i can do addition and subtraction. i can ride a bike. and that's where it ends. i refused everything else after that. cant speak another language. cant do division and multiplication. cant drive a car. literally cant do anything at all.

I mean obviously underwriting every thread and post I make is my deep insecurity. That's a given.

But I also thought it would be interesting to see what people on here know all about, and to learn from them about it. Unless it's boring. In which case they'll be cancelled.

I suppose expert, for skills in particular, is a high bar to clear. Like you could be a proficient archer but you're not the level where you could win competitions. That's acceptable. I'll let that slide.

I won a Mothercare's Best Smile contest in like '91. I had a little framed certificate thing, but I'm not sure where it is now. Always thought it would be fun to put on my CV.

The thing you do where you reference a conversation from 2014 or you pull up the perfect video - that has to be a skill. Maybe it's common with your generation.

If Luka has a podcast you'd be number one candidate to be young Jamie

thats like a savant thing isnt it? like the man who can look at a building once and draw it perfectly from memory. even getting the scale of everything correct.
