hmmm i have done a fair bit of that, not so much in the co-op space, i know what you mean. but I'd hope that the lack of hierarchy means that the responsibility is shared as well as the mundane admin stuff
i don't think the bureaucratic overhead necessarily makes co-op structures unsound though?

The structure can still be sound AND punishingly tedious.

that's not been my experience, perhaps you are just cooperating wrongly, or with tedious cooperators?

It is the tedious collaborators I think. Lots of very detailed focussed people who would rather discuss the small things.
