I survived an hour of shoveling the sidewalk out front, drifts of about 18 inches in places. went out at 6:30 am when it was still dark outside, no one around, took my time. then came in, took a hot shower, eat breakfast...and then ate a second breakfast, what the hell, right? was actually quite enjoyable.
it's funny, we've always had the notion of the "snow day" being a day off because many people are unable to get to work, trains are delayed or cancelled, schools closed, etc. but now, a heavy snow is just another day of working or studying in front of your computer all day, no break from the usual.
