The sun was directly behind, so I'd guess Rayleigh back scattering through a medium of suspended water, probably ice.

it's the same here. temperature has been around zegro degrees for some weeks and it's up to 8 or something today which actually does make it feel a bit like spring. i've got the windows open and i'm hearing a bird sing its song.
