I'm eager to learn more about Weber. People have been hyping him up as the dethroner of Marx in terms of influence on how to theorize our current stage of capitalism.

this is why 'psyche' is the wrong way to go for any future focussed philosophy. it's all trans and post at the very least now. beyond human and all that.
theres a good blue book of his writings. he's very good, i highly recc him. the only thing is that his main book about the spirit of capitalism is a bit boring and ritzers mcdonalidisation is a better summary

I think so too. I'm inclined to subordinate the human to the algorithmic at this point. Both natural and artificial algorithms.

Yeah my usage of algorithm is largely misplaced. It seems like actual algorithms, as far as I can tell, need to be changed and cannot rewrite themselves, whereas intelligent matter, such as biological systems, can rewrite itself (autopoiesis, autocatalysis, such things from what I gather). That said, there is a similarity, I just have a tough time pinning it down. It seems like once it can be pinned down, we can trace and stitch the ontologies of all scales together. Although it seems like all the theory has been elaborated, its just strewn across disparate corners of logos.
