edit: propels it toward some kind of surplus value or whatnot. Hence all of the confused assertions that the forces themselves are capitalistic. Which isn't to say that the psychic experience necessarily reduces to a capitalistic mechanism. The subject may be subjected to these forces, hence the term "subject", but such a subjection does not necessarily seem ineluctable. Desubjectification in this sense is seemingly the task, at least partially, of many if not all enlightenment projects.
