There is a difference in speed, if the vortex is as we usually perceive it you could visualise it as a solid wheel turning right? In which case it's moving faster near the edge, slowest at the middle.is it about perception?
if you watch the water go down the plughole, you perceive the speed as faster for the water going down, right by the hole, whereas when the water is not near the hole, it appears to move more slowly.
when in reality there's no difference in the speed?
doesn't sound right - i dunno.
I mean you could have a more complex one with it all moving at different speeds but then that wouldn't look like a vortex, more of... a mess?
