He is the general manager of the Mavs and responsible for all of their roster moves. What's said is the onus of the trade is uniquely on him because he orchestrated it in secret without any input from anyone else in the organization.

He of course had to get permission from the owners of the team to go through with it so they're hated too but they are also seen as outsiders to the organization as they are brand new and it follows they could be convinced by the more intimately involved executive. What's in the water now is the trade was an all time heat check ego move on Nico Harrison's part and he's assumed the role of symbol for the trade and object of all the animosity

The Mavs owners want to turn the entire West Bank into condominiums and a luxury casino resort and are the biggest trump donors in the world.

Earlier in the decade the Mavs got in trouble for basically having an open groping policy and pro-rape stance in the business offices of which the most blatant offenders were the HR branch.

the brand new owners are also zionists who are some of trumps biggest donors.... making this trade also cost luka over $100 million dollars as the mavs would be able to offer him a much larger contract than the lakers can.... which makes the timing of this really interesting as it does genuienely appear that trading luka, anywhere, had been on the mavs mind possibly since these new owners came into play

This is a weird development from the last few years; starting sentences with a no to emphasise how strongly you feel the sentiment of that sentence, 'no' (or 'nah') essentially changing its meaning to 'yes and really a lot' or similar.

That's often the case with any sort of slang or informal language. Think how many formally negative words mean 'good'. 'Sick', 'wicked', 'bad', etc.

Ill, def... friend was talking about this report from a teacher talking about his kid's class and their "ill behaviour" and... well, insert your own joke.

Nico Harrison is a former Nike executive meaning he was literally an Indonesian slave runner and probably international nonce tourist. Gus has very intelligent things to say about how this demonstrates the dialectics of oppression and the dangers of DEI
I wanna say, but with all this why do you follow the Mavs... but then I think about my support for Manchester United who are probably a scaled up internationally recognised and reviled, industrially produced version of the same thing and I totally get it.
