Christmas is fucking dead now for another 360 odd days. Good. Before, you could go to a stone circle at solstice, get sopping wet, not see the sunrise, work out surreal rites and pilgrimages while tripping across 8 dates of the great wheel. Now, with Covid, could we not space out our cultural high-jinks along already groove-worn paths that must've worked for millennia?

I fucking knew it.
Also, here's a weird thing, my phone is fucked and, as part of that, the camera attached to it is super fucked. When we there at Christmas I took loads of pictures and most of them came out weird but some of them came out really weird with what looked like a kind of new effect that I'd invented. There were about ten pictures like that and I really liked some of them. Anyway, when I got back home and wanted to look at those cool pics, all of those ones had totally disappeared. I was certain that I didn't delete them but they were definitely gone, I could only assume that somehow the phone decided they were not proper photos or something and so they were scrapped. But today I happened to look at my phone and for some reason they had come back. But somehow they are different and they are once again rubbish phone pics instead of something like that bit when Munch started fucking with the first camera he owned and created art.
Here is one of Paula lapdancing on Liza. You'll have to trust me that a few days ago this was a masterpiece of experimental art.

I totally thought that that was why they had vanished. I thought that I'd either imagined them all, or they were still there and I was somehow failing to find them. But they did exist obviously because a) they're back and b) cos I showed them to loads of other people and they all thought I'd invented an amazing new effect too...

I'm not sure I agree with either part of that statement.
Well that's not true... a number of people have over the years (in fact probably in the last week) pointed out how bad I am with the camera. In this particular case it is however not my fault, at least partly, the camera has gone completely weird and adds all these peculiar lines and blobs and stuff to every picture.
But yeah, in general, I do have a problem with holding a camera steady. One time when I used to play five-a-side in London and one of the guys emailed a team sheet giving everyone a nickname, the one he chose for me was "twitch" and I was quite confused. He then had some attack of guilt or something and sent me a personal message saying "Sorry mate I shouldn't take the piss out of that thing cos you obviously can't help it" - and I was thinking "what thing?" - but the conclusion I draw is that I have some sort of minor involuntary twitch that I don't even know about but which is only visible to Bruce and when I'm taking a picture (unless - horrible thought - everyone notices it all the time and is too polite to say).... probably some kind of terrible deteriorating mental and/or physical condition that you really shouldn't draw such cruel attention to.
