Got the second Pfizer jab yesterday at the local drug store ,
Walgreens / Duane Reade , about 14m away from our front door.

Pfizer now has stock to help the EU
COVID items to post here are not just my opinion or point to argue anymore.

" The European Union will receive an extra 50 million doses this month of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, a lift in its effort to speed up inoculations in the face of difficulties with vaccines developed by AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.

The announcement by Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, is part of the European Union’s hard pivot to mRNA vaccines such as Pfizer’s, staking its future coronavirus response on them.

The moves come a day after Johnson & Johnson suspended the rollout of its vaccine in the European Union and as the bloc continued to suffer the fallout from restrictions on the AstraZeneca vaccine, after reports of extremely rare but serious potential side effects from both.

No side effects whatsoever - thankfully !
From talking to other's there at the local, one guy had effects after first shot -
first time i heard that.
I mean hey , it seemed natural to be a bit nervous : )

'Bold move' ? well i do hope Mr. Tea doesn't take it as any comment on that thread.
After then posting there about the phenomenon of virus moving from animal to human - then from human animal back to animal, i felt the post got buried by some next noise.
Felt a bit of fresh air was needed - sorely - as many are dying every damn day.

jk about the "bold move", most of that thread has been noise for a long time. and it wasn't stated by @Mr. Tea, he just got rightful credit for the clever phrase. impressive, really, considering his penchant for dad jokes.

Report rd yesterday from Baron's - Israeli reporting the Pfizer vaccine does not do quite as well against the African variant.

Between the variants, and those w no symptoms but sic, quite the challenge

People who are fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus don’t need to wear masks when walking, hiking, biking, running alone or gathering in small groups outside, federal health officials said, taking a major step to ease pandemic restrictions while encouraging more people to get shots. The same applies to dining at a restaurant outside, and to small outdoor gatherings that include some unvaccinated people, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

Yet vaccinated people should still wear masks in public settings indoors and outdoors where there is a substantial risk of Covid-19 transmission, such as concerts, sporting events and other crowded gatherings, the CDC said.
