not that i'm a Nas diehard but i disagree on the idea of him having a 2% hit rate i think there's some genuinly good tracks that rival some of the tracks on Illmatic and the reason for this perception of his career comes down to years of comments about his ear for beats that snowballed over the years and now get taken as literal fact but also the Jay Z propaganda machine which people compared him to for years and makes him come off looking better by comparison.

Despite the fact that Jay Z himself has made more than a few questionable music decisions nothing as weird or unintentionally hilarious as Nas mind you but still really bad

see here's the problem i have with all the talk about Mobb Deep everybody focused on Prodigy and how his rapping got worse etc etc NOBODY talks about how Havoc got worse when it came to beats, lets speak on that now shall we
