I never saw anything in it that I've not seen him do elsewhere a lot better and it just seemed very indulgent to me.

but Lynch / Frost, Twin Peaks: The Return is a masterpiece - some of the Black Lodge sequences made me exclaim "someone has smoked DMT!"

and Inland Empire evokes ketamine so profoundly that it blows my mind that Lynch doesn't do drugs.

Guess it shows that all those states of mind are things that exist inside our heads already

Ep 8 is overrated but the best episodes come after that and the intensity builds and everything comes together at the end. Its a masterpiece and even makes the original series better retrospectively. Best tv series ever.

I remember when that advert came out and I had a prophetic dream in which I won loads of money by betting on that song to be Christmas number one, so next day I went to a bookie to try and place that bet but they just laughed at me. Good job cos I don't think they even released it as a single in the end.

Kyle maclachlans performance as arguably 5 characters is kind of astounding and im amazed he could pull off a psychopathic shark eyed villain as well as he did. The black eye contacts helped a bit but still

lynch said he cast him in blue velvet because he had an innocent quality but also had some hidden darkness lurking deep down, and 30 years later he proved himself right and delved fully in. Mr C... man what an evil bastard . "I dont need.. anything. I WANT"
