I do think joy is musically discredited though. What versions talking about feels more like a political cultural thing outside of the actual consumption of music. Black music has been pretty wallowing and sad for awhile.

Beyonce's Renaissance was a focal point for all the joy talk, but that was almost three years ago now.

I'm not sure what popular queer music is but someone like Charlie xcx is even fairly contemplative for 'dance' music

there's homeless and then there's homeless. When you're emotionally manipulating several women at a time by telling them you love them so that you have places to stay while you're bed-hopping, well, that's pretty shitty.

That tune's an embarrassing, fumbling impersonation of the Americans. He's also too old to be chasing trends like that. Whole thing's ridiculous.
