Beat Bop being the great avant rap example that everyone on here has in their DNA bar these new-fangled Amerikkkans. I like a lot of that early disco rap shit.yeah that was the really early stuff when it was still coming out of the disco era Sugar Hill/Echo Records that stuff
ESG should get a mention too for being a band playing rap instrumentalsBeat Bop being the great avant rap example that everyone on here has in their DNA bar these new-fangled Amerikkkans. I like a lot of that early disco rap shit.
i know what you mean but one of the MCs in the club in Wild Style is holding a rifle while rapping always thought that was pretty madThe interesting thing about so much of the early stuff is how different it is lyrically and conceptually. theyre from staten island. wu tang worshipped them
i think a lot of their reputation came from live shows though, the routines they did on stagethats mad as well never knew that
well yeah that's why i say they were a bit rubbish, doing rubbish unison chants and stuff, not rapping at alli think a lot of their reputation came from live shows though, the routines they did on stage
