I do agree that side 2 tails off after 1970. tho I do like L.A. Blues, but I have a healthy appetite for both noise rock and late 60s/early 70s shambling post-hippie freakouts i.e. Amon Duul I and that kinda thing.

I just really dont like the riff. maybe its because the association has been ruined for me by every song to ever feature in a budweiser commercial but Id argue if it so seamlessly transitioned into that there must have been something wrong in the genesis

if self-titled was an EP of just 1969, I Wanna Be Your Dog, No Fun (and maybe Little Doll) it would be number one. the rest sounds like exactly what it is, shit they just made up on the spot to to fill up the rest of space, especially the interminably dull 10 minutes of We Will Fall.

I definitely prefer the original to the Williamson lineup in the way I prefer Mooney Can to Suzuki Can but side 1 of Raw Power is so unrelentingly awesome that it's hard to deny

Agree that Raw Power is the best Stooges LP, but [insert Unpopular Opinion Puffin meme] I also really like 'We Will Fall.' It makes me think of what The Doors would have sounded like if they'd actually been any good.

The Congos - Heart of The Congos is counted as a Lee Perry album? Every review I've ever seen has described as a masterpiece, some going as far to describe it as the best reggae album ever or some other hyperbole. And I just don't get it... at first I thought it must be because I had heard the wrong version and that I needed to hear the "original Jamaican" mix, but no... still can't understand the fuss about this one. There's maybe two good tunes and the rest is filler, and if I'm being honest it's only Congo Man that I like. It's not even the best "Lee Perry" album, let alone the best reggae album.

The original release of loaded isnt great, but Fully Loaded is amazing. It has some of my fave VU tunes.

This is the only one I ever really liked of theirs. They just blur into a lot of other shoegazey sort of bands for me.
