Just got over a 3 day bronchitis, and I'm straight back on the fags. Not proud of it, it's a type of mental illness really, some kind of weird death wish. I could have took the opportunity to knock it on the head for good. What's that all about?

I have managed to give up smoking weed though so that's good I suppose.

I had covid a couple of months ago and there was one day where it hurt to smoke, like swallowing broken glass, but the day after I just carried on as usual... it's supposed to kill the virus, right?

Now I'm back on the fags I feel 100 percent better than I did yesterday, in fact I feel great. I was probably suffering more from the nicotine withdrawal than I was from the virus these last few days. Had some mad month-long cold that I can't shake though before it got to my lungs and finally got some antibiotics.

I remember about 15 years ago I did manage to stop smoking completely for a few months and the first two or three weeks were hell, coughing up all sorts of horrible shit, worse than any cold I've had. I fell back into it though...

Every time I get a cold I think "now is a good opportunity to stop smoking cos I actually can't physically smoke right now", but I'm not sure it is the right time really. It's probably better to wait until you're at full strength before trying to stop rather than piling misery upon misery upon yourself.

let me make it abundantly clear that socialist society will simply abolish the need for cigarettes and will not produce them on point of principle. there is no scientific benefit. Once that is understood, quitting is very easy. just make sure you don't get a hard on for our infamous

Because you're too lazy to recalibrate your triggers to apples and oranges. if you do that, you can easily quit in a week. whenever the craving hits, have a bit of an apple or orange between your fingers, and eat it.

One thing that makes tobacco so tempting is that it is an appetite supressant, but much more subtle than amphetamine. when this is scientifically understood, you can begin to allow your stomach to growl.

you should be able to get cig shaped chocolate crispies in spain as well. you can get them in turkey. they come in bulk packs though. even easier than constantly having fruit with you, just pull out the chocolate fag, suck on it then eat it.
