the Goya corridor is at the Prado right.. and Guernica
You got mixed up again, Guernica is in the Reina Sofia. My partner was there earlier this year and the Picasso section was closed off for some reason so she didn't get to see it.

Only time I've been to Madrid was in 2004, and my girlfriend at the time was arty, so we spent almost the whole time in the galleries. I found the Prado a bit boring but the the Thyssen and Reina Sofia were great. Lots of great sculptures about the place, though I'm hazy on the details now.

It didn't strike me as either an especially ugly or beautiful city at the time. I remember the Retiro Park near the Prado being nice. I'd recommend figuring out the buses though cos you have to do a lot of walking.

tbh they blend into one, I smoked a massive hash porro and it was ridiculously hot... i do remember the cool marble floor of (i think) the reina sofia, that was nice

the retiro is a nice park obviously but noticed when i was there in december how it felt almost retro. like the remains of a trend from the past. it felt like people still go there because it's a nice park but really it was designed for the leisure of people who don't exist anymore.

Always think I'd have been much happier in life if I'd had beautiful women straddling me and smiling delightedly i my face as I lie on a comfy sofa

I think often beautiful people are literally centimetres away from being the ugliest freaks you've ever seen

But they're just on the right side of it, and instead I would run through lava to secure their esteem

Just touched down in Madrid

Gracias por favour adiós denada
Madrid was great btw

More bars than any city in Europe

And the galleries were amazing. Prado obviously but also the Thyssen-Borgen probably the most impressive gallery I've been to.

There is something very sinister about Spain. About the creeping decadence it encourages. A perfumed intoxicant.

Many of our ancestors spoke of such effects. The Odyssey. Jack Vance. Heronbone. The Bard himself: Prospero's island. Spells are cast over a place. Every geographic border is a limit of enchantment. When you go, everyone is under the spell you start saying, Am I Crazy Or Is Everyone Crazy? and the answer is both but different kinds of crazy.
