Western ice cream is emulsifier filled sludge, you can feel the crap in it clogging your brain synapses as soon as it reaches yr bloodstream.
only Turkish dondurma (preferably goat milk) or occasionally Lahori kulfi (pistachio or almond or maybe mango) is acceptable.

Tsujiri, expensive, full of people taking photographs for the "gram", but the matcha ice cream isn't too shabby

In Nakano, Tokyo there is this weird arcade that is a mixture of every geek interest ( anime, wrestling, etc., ) and high end luxury watch stalls ( money laundering operations? ) and the clientele is a strange mix of expensive suits and sweaty tee shirts
but down in the basement there is the "best ice cream"
