might redo that one day because I forgot to set the zero db headroom so the limiter keeps kicking in. I kind of like that for that kind of mix, just sounds terrible on speakers.

God damn this "Planet Of Love Part II" tune... forget how much I love some piping hot acid techno, especially with a nice little pitch bump. The South 2nd one too, this Structure label looks like it has some gems

Kind of disappointed this isn't on youtube.
I found the record on soulseek, a couple of the other tunes on it aren't up. Here's the one in question, amazing but it sounds quite a lot more fucked than the rest? Like a bad rip? Could be my wimpy, non-techno acclimated ears and I don't see why just one tune would have a worse file, but every other tune sounds much better...

I did put this one up, mini banger:

This one, already up, takes the cake though IMO:

Alright... the title's a Coco Bryce diss right?? What's the Tenerife bit referencing?

a gb news loving terf weirdo called X Nation on doa who was going mad for a week about jungle not being black music who i said had his mum dumped in tenerife in 1991 or whatever, who started to be like oh coco big ups we all make mistakes blah blah, cancel culture has been a net negative for dnb. The spectacular ordeal with this guy moaning about racially devisive narritives for a week was so hilarious and I had a lot of fun taking the piss out of him.

the whole title is supposed to be irreverent and humorous, like your petty beefs even matter sort of thing, zionism or anti-wokeist transphobia, we pitilously conduct you down the same drain because you have little to musically offer. It's not a bourgeois anti-zionist statement or anything like that.

In fact to be quite Hegelian about it contemporary bourgeois anti-zionism is the height of fidelity to zionism (even more so as it revels in being an impotent opposition against genocide) unable to escape from the gloomy parliamentary democratic swamp, just like anti-woke is the most faithful to woke. It's much more just about poking fun and banter, i wouldn't read any kind of animosity into it. you love your enemy the more you hate him etc.

that was a label set up by the air liquide/cologne acid crew. they did everything from weird ambient trance-not-trance to breakbeat acid monsters. even Biochip C/Speed Freak was affiliated with them for a while. E-de cologne/patric Cattani fell out with them because he thought they were too poppist or whatever but I kind of think that's a aesthetic dead end. there has always been good pop and shit pop, well maybe in 2024 all non-rnb/non-hip hop pop is shit, I don't know, I don't particularly care.
