INCIPIENT!

I had a host of horrible dreams last night, thanks to taking the night off weed. And I remember now one nightmare involved one of my plants inexplicably completely dying

I don't see what is so bad with incipient.
you've also got some nice alliteration with "incipient interest" - it's also used much more rarely than a word like budding so it makes you look smart

Orchids spruce up anywhere, bit of a lattice support system

slightly addicted but have so many at home and work bases it’s tricky getting new growth to get close to vertical

no insane pollen releases, low maintenance, last a while, dainty might be the word looked for

There were 4 on that ledge alone

azaleas are going in this year, mixed colours like a spice advert, Japanese maples have thickened out and they withstood storms so I salute their grit despite this technically falling into treeshagging

Whites are less spectacular yet delicate, more difficult to make out the flower core, stamens and petal texture

It started after being given them as presents, you think oh great a pot to recycle except it escalated

summer leave fly tape hanging above, double sorted, they can handle heat of summer’s direct source and winter’s damp

orchids are way cool

A while ago someone on the board gave a compelling explanation for why you all have such rotten teeth, like a real reason that almost made me want to stop prodding about it. Maybe something to do with wartime provisions and toothpaste substitute? But the war was a while ago so that excuse wouldn't cover you lot.
