The Passion of Joan of Arc, The Color of Pomegranates, and The Long Day Closes are 3 of the 5 films I've given five stars, out of the 1911 films I've logged.

I'm getting The Passion of Joan of Arc, The Color of Pomegranates, The Long Day Closes, Werckmeister Harmonies, Ashes and Diamonds, the Thief of Baghdad, and Fantastic Planet.
i bought five easy pieces (a cooler, more honest version of version than keruoac's on the road), risky business (one of the most relatable movies to my growing up, minus the prostitution), sex lies and videotapes, and mishima (a version classic)

Those criterion discs are insanely expensive, even on sale. Never feel I can justify it.

Granted I do constantly buy expensive art books but there's really no substitute for a beautifully printed array of 19th century french paintings that Ill never look at

I haven't bought one in ages because of this, especially when the other Blu-ray companies aren't anywhere near that expensive. There's one called Indicator who do three for £15 when they do a sale and that won't even get you one Criterion, even when they're being sold at a discount. Radiance are pretty expensive too, but the selection's more intriguing and the films are harder to find elsewhere.
