Instagram, Facebook, almost the whole internet

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
Who else heard about Facebook no longer fact-checking sponsored posts and thought "OK, but how are we going to tell the difference?"

They've been happily hosting all kinds of fucking nonsense for years.

no use for a witticism
what's the point?
maybe it's cause i aint young and hip, but i don't get instagram at all
a friend recommended i join a couple of years ago, so i was like ok, what do i post - so i would very randomly (especially at first) choose music to take pictures and post, and it just seemed like I wasted a lot of time
i've basically abandoned it now, but every now and then i'll take a look at it, and it's just a constant influx of "likes" from what must be OnlyFans women looking to troll for more suckers, or friend requests from the same
facebook, i've also mostly abandoned - today, I got one of those facebook "look back at date so and so" and i couldn't help but laugh because it was like a reminder of why i basically abandoned it (I'd say prolly half of my 200 "friends" on there are family in some way even if distantly related) and not only did not any one of my friends respond or "like" when i posted about some traumatic stuff that many of them never knew about (especially those friends that knew me in my 20s), - NOT EVEN ONE FAMILY MEMBER
haven't had any interest from the OF girls myself

seems like there is a race to the bottom about which platform can be the most vile and racist
Peter Thiel grandstanding gullibility and paranoia
what a shambles,

Wow by the end it's pure told-to-by-trump spiel
it's proactive sucking up, anticipating the master's will, not even waiting to be told

somebody that you haven't seem in ~35 years sends you a friend request, no messages or anything along with the request... ok, I guess I'll accept the request, but why did they send the request if they still don't say anything after that?
I just don't get it...

let 'em have it, I guess
I guess it's better than the alternative which could be fruitlessly trying to catch up on ~35 years through just using messenger or whatever text app since people don't like talking on the phone anymore.

Met a guy I haven't seen in ~18 years about a week ago. Spent some days together. Was interesting to observe what's changed and what's stayed the same.

Is that the guy, I believe it was you saying, that you were just thinking about them and they coincidentally got in touch with you at the same time?

In short I feel like it's shown me how much I've grown and how my perceptions have changed - as you would expect. Am 41 now. Felt like he was very much the same guy I remember but how I see him now is vastly different to all those years ago. He's 10 years older than me, and I felt like I've lapped him at this point. The finer details of all that aren't particularly interesting, but one piece of juicy gossip is me and him had a threesome with a girl I had met the last time I was here and it's my one and only time doing that.

When in Athens..

@0bleak must be someone else because it was me reaching out to him. Hadn't heard from him in ages.
