I walk so lazily that my feet barely leave the ground, if there is slightly - like 1cm - raised bit of pavement or something I will certainly trip over it.

That picture above reminds of that story in Norse mythology where someone has to choose to marry a God based entirely on their feet and she goes for the cleanest, prettiest ones thinking they will be the most handsome God but they turn out to belong to the sea God cos his feet are in the water the whole time.
