What perfume do you wear?

Got given a Jo Malone bottle of ‘pepper something ridiculous sounding’ around 2007 and it’s still by my razors and roll on. Think its opening was prompted by the Mrs and a wedding. Weddings are the only time she fusses with ssssskkkkkkssss-sssssskksssss in the air, sssskkkkssss sssssskkkkss yet to avoid overload and smelling too heavily of the stuff why not use less?

Weddings, baptisms, never at work. It’s a slippery slope with scents. Not a lot worse than a man reeking of heavy ott smellie

Save my greatest loathing for anyone who uses plug in air fresheners, gtfo

Over grooming leads to bs like eye brow plucking, low rider Jeremy Beadle stubble beards, neck beard oils, all of which should be punishable by death

Fragrances are the rot start, a holiday to Wyoming would yield far more inspiration

I bought some Gautier thing on a whim once in duty free... I think I was flying a lot and the adverts finally broke through - like going up and down the underground escalators must eventually hypnotise you into seeing Chicago. Anyway, the bottle was nice, used it, it's gone, forgot it until now.

According to what the girl in the newsagent said when I went in after I'd been fishing, "Burning', as that's what she said she could smell.

I kinda like it sometimes when someone passes and they leave a smell. The problem is that most times it's just a really strong synthetic smell.

you could also try and assemble your own perfume. they have this stand on the market here ran by arabs and they have bottles of all sorts of fragrances and tones and you can select the ones you like and they'll mix something up for you. they are always quite strong though.

i might try something like that. i like lavender, altho it's poisonous to dogs so might have to try something else.
i really like the scent of roses too. That's pretty classic so should be possible. And sandalwood, i like that too.

An ad for a male “wonder perfume” – which was claimed to drive women wild as well as give men the edge in business – has been banned by the ad watchdog after the firm behind the brand was unable to substantiate its claims.
The product, called Ruthvahon, was promoted online at sorcerers-apprentice .co.uk. The text stated: “This legendary and infamous perfume for men is only for the discerning. Apart from its obvious advantages with the opposite, Ruthvah is said to also give you an edge in business and commerce.
“Whether synthetic pheromone is better than the natural stuff we cannot say but we are the only firm able to offer Genuine SA Ruthvah fragrance which many thousands of discerning users have tried and tested over 35 years.
“For deeply sexual overtones put a little under each arm or on the loins so the effect is subtle but rapid. It is said to drive women wild yet often they will not understand themselves exactly why.”
But one complainant challenged many of the product’s claims, sparking an investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority.
However, while Sorcerers Apprentice provided comments to the ASA, it insisted it did not have time to gather the appropriate evidence before the deadline.
And this lack of robust evidence, ultimately condemned the ad. Ruling the claims must not appear again in their current form, the ASA told Sorcerers Apprentice not to make efficacy claims or to claim that large numbers of people had tried their products unless they held documentary evidence to that effect.

Sorcerers Apprentice used to have a shop in Leeds - people of a certain age may remember the exposé of the shop on The Cook Report which resulted in some Christian extremists firebombing the shop

I got some lavender essential oil but it has so many toxicity warnings on it that I don't even know how to dispose of it.

Really? That's fucked? It's meant to calm you down. It's sort of like mild opiate right, same make up?
