The Dems had 4 years to finish the job, and didn't. Mexico is patrolling its own border with military and people are being deported en masse - the wall is not so pressing now as the incentives have turned into disincentives.

I suppose it serves them right for not recognizing the concept of illegal alien in the first place unlike the settler colonial state, a nation founded by continually dispossessing indigenous peoples from their lands while overwriting native histories with an “enlightened”, multicultural narrative. The hypocrisy of this nation subsequently enforcing deportation policy against vulnerable groups.
