Why collect kief? To observe what hash is made of. Either keep samples from grinders if used to see and smell variations or, if you want, speedball the supreme tastiness mixed like a TROOPER
Collection doesn’t even require work. Place up a small micron metal sieve over a mirror with two supports and place samples on it, any bottom of bag contents ie broken off resin heads and plant detritus, any surviving shade or sugar leaves, calyxes, any stalks, so anything jumbled you don’t want in your mechanism of delivery is repurposed for sieving
Razor, light and def touch will give you all the goodness. Always suprising watching it build up. You did say you were “Trad, Daaaaad”. Kief can be decarboxylated ie it can be made water soluble. Eaten in yoghurt adds potency as fat binding means cannabinoids pass your gut wall’s barrier in greater numbers straight to the Endocannabinoid system, so you a) need less or b) lose an hour or two. One of the few times I combust anything, at the very end of the day where you’ve prepared for the least number of surprises possible = alhamdulillah
The universes of resins and hashish never age, while rosin, live resin and full extract oils meld the past with the present .. I just wonder whether evolving extracts can go much further (technically speaking) hence ageing hash and becoming a master hash-maker of all styles - from charis to piatella - are represented @sus . At very least study phenomes, terpenes and try hash samples sourced from legit premium-grade flower - hash isn’t like a tincture where trim can be used, you want quality flowers
Lastly, live resins acquired as undiluted weights all in a glass container and avoiding carts no matter what spiel, alongside exploring which hashish matters = both how and why = justifiable missions which could dissect through all the bs deemed avoidable
