I always loved the tape-click on Trout. The joins/joints (Burroughs method) of the fragments serve as the rhythm. Like a train down a track.
As a genre, not really. As an expansion like Zappa did on multiple records, George Harrison-wonder wall yeah!do you like any pure electronic music?

I am not trying to front. It’s all subjective.
I come from a family of self taught musicians. Who had no other agenda then to entertain at family gatherings. Idk why, maybe because as the youngest of six my older sibling tied my shoes for me one to many times.
I do know I appreciate the dedication put into learning (and mastering) a musical instrument.
As someone who was in a punk/HC band I respectfully disagree. You can write the song in 20 minutes, but getting the other four blokes to keep time actually play it in a way that will get you booked is a far longer (and dare I say, honest) endeavor. Putting together a solid .30 minutes of good shit was not easy.it's just algorithms. al-farabi understood this. electronic music isn't any easier or harder, just different parameters. Punk rock is piss easy to play on real instruments, you can learn to play a punk song in 20 mins max.

like you're one to talk! Detroit, 1992!
I know Luka, its not conducive to rave/jungle designer drug EuroDance which to me looks like nerve agent deployed on an abandoned wharehouse full of tweakers. But, I will find something in his canon you might twitch to
White (though the color is not important) white flakes spazzing out to that kind of “music”
Is every bit as repugnant to me as my tunes to yours
Edit: have no idea what Detroit 92 means. I’m my day this was just called disco.
Zero content, zero musicianship.
Just do a rail and do what has become synonymous with white people dance.
I love that Sun-Ra made it into this thread.
He belongs alongside Varese, Stravinsky.
I don’t understand the ignorajcea lot of ignorance, my man
anyway, how do you rate james brown?
Thst in in itself is beyond ignorant. They are peers, if at different times/junciotd.Varese and Stravinksy only "belong" when they are sucking Sun Ra's toes
I once made the mistake of wandering into the ARKESTRA's dressing room - if looks could kill!
Marshall Allan is cool though, he nodded to me as I sucked on a cig, we had a moment, etc
I guess @william_kent deleted their post while I was out for a cigarette.
But to answer your question, not as high as JB - he (or should I say Clyde Stubblefield) where my biggest drumming influence, after all.

I like you but you are wrong
