Corpsey

I'm kind of stuck reading Swann's Way, not that it's bad (quite the opposite) but I've lost momentum and as anyone who's read it knows there IS NO MOMENTUM in the 'plot' of Swann's Way, not like good old Dickens. I'd say for a reader like me it's exhausting because it's so densely packed with ingenious dissections of psychology.

And I have to finish at least this one, don't I?

I think I like it because he allows himself to become a bit more unhinged in it - there are the usual great comic characters but there is a great interest in obsession - sexual, monetary which he develops more fully than in his other work. And the golden dustman is a fabulous character.

Has anyone read ‘Prophet Song’ by Paul Lynch?
My sister gave me a copy on my Birthday.
I had it fairly down the line on my que of books to read. I’m falling far behind. When I was still working my first shift was 2300-0731
And I was averaging (depending on density) two books a month. I’ve been on the same two books since I retired almost a year ago.
Both are long though.
Anyway, ever since the Trump admin has started essentially disappearing people. I might move it to the top of the list.
Anyone have review/thoughts on this book?
