My favourite string-thing recently has been Sebastien Tellier "Beyond All Strategies" - 6 or 7 minutes of epic orchestral build-up before the sweetest psyche-pop breakdown right at the end

Anybody got any tips on Clare Fischer? He did the strings on 2 of my all time fave LPs - Rufus "Ask Rufus" and Prince "Parade", but internet search looks like he's been on about 8 million records and I don't know where to begin!
