i started on marvel comics when i was 12 and started reading "comix" when i was around 15...

some early favorites:

Reid Flemming, world's toughest milkman:

Zap Comix (a friend of mine had a hippy dad and had a big stack of old Zap's... r. crumb, s.clay wilson, spain, robert williams,)

then i was a huge 8 ball fan

i love both his retarded juvenile shit ("needle dick the bug fucker") and his more arty stuff, which probably peaked with David Boring, although i would love to be wrong...

Daniel Clowes is great, David Boring is a fave of mine, I like that really clean-line style he has.
