This Saturday 6th October 2007
WANG presents REVIVAL Part II
Seminal Manchester acid house legends Gerald Simpson and Graham Massey perform LIVE together for the first time since 1989.
Utilising only the original analogue hardware machines, Graham and Gerald will be performing a 'back in the day' ultra rare live acid set under the name of
"REBUILD" - A Guy Called Gerald and Graham Massey (808 State).
This is a unique (and very possibly you're only) chance to see two of the founding fathers of the UK dance scene back together, playing live for the first time in nearly 20 years.

As if this wasn't enough for one night, we are also playing host to:

Simian Mobile Disco

Andrew Weatherall

Uncle Buck

Lukey Roots QC

Sidney Le Sarge

Lula & Electro Elvis

Venue is Corsica Studios, Unit 5, Farrell Court Elephant Road London SE17 1LB

It's £10 in advance
Tickets are available online from WARPMART and in person from Sounds of the Universe/Soul Jazz

We will be having a pre-party at the Griffin pub, Leonard street Shoreditch on Saturday from about 8p.m. any tickets left will be available from the DJs there on the night.

Peace and love

Anyone else go to this? I thought they were pretty good, quite hypnotic at times. I liked Massey's graphic sequencer/controller thing, maybe I'm just easily impressed by flashing lights... ;) Curious as to what it is, if anyone knows.

Bit too crowded though.

No, it was a white bordered square, with a grid of mono pixels viewable from both sides, so when he held it up the audience cold see what was happening. Pixels moved up and down, waves spread out from points - I couldn't work out if it was a touch sensitive screen or there were other controls...

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
Maybe he just bunged a pre-recorded CD in the player and had a game of Space Invaders while you lot lapped it up... ;)

I would've gone if I could've convinced my friends, alas (same old story!). "So, you want to go to see the guy who did Voodoo Ray in...1989?"

Having been to Corsica Studios to see Faust recently, thought it might get a bit crowded. I like the venue, but it was a bit optimistic of the promoters to think that there'd be enough space there.

It was pretty damn crowded, it must be said. Emptied out later by the time Weatherall was on. It was quite a joy to see Gerald with a big grin on his face tweaking a 303 over extended periods though..
