Just came back from playing at a local dubstep monthly and I finished with about 25 minutes of UK funky. The place went mad for it. Move Down Low VIP tore it down - they had to move tables so more people could dance

I'm thinking bout doing the same in Leeds next week

yeah i told them about this as i get it too, i can listen to the audio fine, it's when you move from the public to the secure area which suggests to me that it's not entirely secure, but moving from that to paypal should be ok, rather not have any card details on it though

Yeah, picked up a few bits off them, however uptown seem to have the upfront exclusives and a far better selection (to my tastes anyway) at the moment.

I wonder how long it will be until some of the bigger online stores start stocking funky, I guess it depends on the distribution.

I agree. There doesn't seem to be a simple procedure of where you can purchase and it means you have to research where to go first which I find annoying at times.

I think the other problem is that with the changes in technology, alot of producers feel that they wont sell enough vinyl and stick to mp3 sales. :slanted: I'm trying to find some more places where you can buy vinyl so anything I find I'll share

Anyone know what's up with Rhythm Division? It's been about three months since their site went down and I think their myspace is gone now too. They had a decent funky selection and their shipping prices were better than Uptown.

Got to hear some funky over the weekend on a big system and found myself much more excited by it (in general) than the dubstep I heard. Although there was some great dubstep, a lot of it has a kind of moody eyes-forward vibe to it that conflicts with the smoking ban alittle... funky just seems more enjoyable, perhaps its just that its fresh to me though.
