She wasn't fired for the spoof announcements though was she, she was fired for saying the tube was crap. At least that's what London Underground are saying.

I'm not saying that that's necessarily ok but it's a bit different from the way that they are trying to spin the story on that blog as "fired for making jokes".
I also thought it was pretty funny that LU described her future contacts as "experiencing serious delays" I'm afraid.

Whether they were funny or not, or stupid or not, I don't see why such a fuss should be made about them if they were on her blog rather than actually being announced on the Tube.

For her replacement, I vote for James Earl Jones.

I read that they fired her because she said she found using the tube weird because it was her own voice doing the announcements. I think she has become more outspoken since this unfair dismissal.
