You do get those situations from time to time as a music "journalist".

Just listening to an ASC thing from earlier this year and apparently he's got a jungle album on the way "inspired by the recent resurgence of old-school jungle and drum & bass sounds, with a particular interest in (and influence from) artists like Photek and Source Direct, and the classic records on Metalheadz and Reinforced."
will give you a boring answer which probably doesn't help much (lol), but there's few non-generic jungle tunes here and there - you just gotta find them.Revival jungle can bang but the quirky individual character of many of the first wave tunes is almost wholly absent.
