Mexican in the UK is generally awful, I can guarantee that if you have it done well you'd be really surprised, it's not just jalapenos and burritos. You get hundreds of different chilies and the preparation differs not just from chilli to chilli but from dish to dish, it's very subtle and as deep as any other indigenous cuisine.
