Dunno about the Tesco's brand but Morrison's vodka is truly vile.
Co-op and Somerfield both seem to be pretty good for home brand cereals.
I've had some good supermarket brand tea and coffee but also some decidedly ropey ones.

When I was an undergrad they used to called it Morrinov in a desperate attempt to make it sound more authentic. Vile stuff, but we would drink it nevertheless. Can't really go wrong at £6 quid a bottle - a healthy splash of Fanta Fruit Twist and you can't taste the difference anyway. In fact I prefer it to slightly more expensive "branded" vodkas like Red Square or Glens.

the more russian the name, the faker the vodka... the one i grew up w/ was called Cossack... distilled in Somerville, Massachusetts... the one in NY is called Georgi...

You're totally right on that one. My favourite patty shop closed down in Brixton recently and I was just totally lost for about an hour - just didn't know what to do next at all, completely threw me off guard. God bless anyone that makes patties, doing them yrself is a fucking pain.
