Bonaventure is a curator/artist from Cameroon, and always puts on really fun art exhibitions with good after parties. this friday after a few live acts i will play from 22 or 23h until morning:

how was polyrythmo?

Polyrhythmo was great... you saw the pictures? about a dozen on stage, mostly pot bellied old timers, laying down some serious grooves... do you know if that is Congolese Rumba influence in their sound? the latin bits? or straight Salsa influence could be... the horn section in particular. it was too early in the day though and too short. with a band like that you need at least 3 hours.

party was good, it was in the same space, just another room, as the exhibition, so the vibe did not make it last past 3AM but the floor was positively FREAKY for a solid 3 hours... kicking myself for forgetting to take photos of the lively crowd
