Anyone feelin' the new Orson on Version?

Pretty fantastic 'loefah-esque' vibes on this one...
excited to hear some more stuff from this guy.
anyone got any info on who he is, where he's from, etc?

Taken from Boomkat:
Nope, it's not the doyle in the hat, it's Berlin's dubstep souljah dropping a debut pair of productions for his own Version imprint. Orson has been Berlin's dubstep ambassador pretty much since day dot, heavily influencing the city's tastes with the Version club nights.

Orson has been around from day one indeed. fantastically laid back dude... unfortunately doesn't get the recognition he deserves imo. So here's some links.

saw shakleton last night do an amazing set, heard he had really upped his game ( wasn't toally convinced remember seeing him a few years go on vinyl and it was pretty poor) but this was really deep involving stuff.

I saw him a few years ago and he was great then.
Not sure what all this talk of recent improvement is about?

so who is going to provide the requisite 'nuum justification for the shift to higher tempos, real or imagined?

edit: one more (didn't realize there was a video out for this!)

Visual explanation: Text explanation: wobble's large, shit and unstoppable, gotta go around it

Following on from that, if halfstep's already been done it's not likely that producers are going to shift towards stripping beats out again, so higher tempos are the logical choice, especially considering the current "coolness" of jungle.

I don't know how much to read into the Instra:Mental and dBridge (ie: Autonomic) business though, theoretically they come from a different strand of the Nuum fabric, although the factors causing them to push down the tempos may well be similar to the causes dub space step guys are going up.

IMO TBH

£2? you'd have to be a right prick not to go, shack is unstoppable live.

Ugh, I wish he'd visit this corner of the globe (AU at the end of last year wasn't close enough).

a) uptempo + halfstep beats or b) down the tempos (130 + even lower sometimes) + more dense percussion seems to be the logical steps people are taking. that's what that rough sketch was planned to show.

jungle's fashionable again is it? didnt know if it ever went out, original jungle that is...
