erm...

Calgary AB via Vancouver, B.C, Canaduh - and visaversa. How ya guys/gals doin??!

Run riddim!!

I've horded dubstep & twisted garage rekkids for the past 4 years or more. I like alot of different stuff tho. I hosted Vancouver's & western Canada's longest running jungle/dnb FM radioshow ( 1995/'96 - 2005, now "defunct", or hibernatin', who knows? ), as well as an extreme electronic music show playing noize, Illusion of Safety records, distorted tings, breakcore & general h/c electronix boom bap. Volume is cool.

I happily playlisted some of the standard "early" dubstep & breakstep label catalogues on my radioshows, everything from Oris Jay, Tempa, Mutiny, Rat Recs, Ghost Recs, Soul Ja, Big Apple, Naughty, and more including Hotflush, Hardlivin, SlaughterMob, etc... not that that was very long ago or anything. The music just needed to be heard, that's all.

Oh yeah, I'm listening to Sound Secration & Muzlim Gauze as i post. hehe. whut!

I've been playing grime & dubstep in clubs here in Calgary on occasion ( small prarie city, only 1 million population ), and altho there's a standard breaks scene, considering you can no longer find dubstep in the ONE local electronic music record shop, I'm sure i'm the lone voice on this frontier out here. In contrast, you can find "grime" 12"s & releases in punkrock / hip-hop record shops locally, but not @ the local dance vinyl haunt. Strange huh?

Anyhoo.

LOOK MOM!!! Another forum! boh!

I'm not much of Grime or Dubstep fan, more into dnb and techno, though really indie rock is my fave.

Freakaholic

not just an addiction
chicago.

got into grime via dubstep via breaks via electro. kinda roundabout.

but i still dont understand it. when i started gettin records, i thought grime was instrumentals, like 2-step version of DnB.

but whatever, im just a sucker for bass.
