Excuse my ignorance for not flying to Chicago to pick up one of these obscure tapes from Rashad’s boot, but I just got the promo sent to my inbox, I’m sure if I heard the original I would be giving it the same level of praise.

It will surface sooner or later I think. The dudes who have been making the trax day in day out for years are the dudes who need the support..that's what I'm trying to say. I'm going to do my best to get this crackin but ultimately, everything counts. I just don't think Nate and Roc or Murderbot are doing this real, reaaaaal shit that the GhettoTekz on. Sorry to be an arsehole.

Nate's been discussed to death, the problem with Murderbot is obvious, but for all us folks in England why is DJ Roc not reeeaaal?

Roc's made some trax in the past...PANIC , ONE BLOOD that may stand out to some..it's a personal thing..dude just stopped making trax for a long while then jumped back on..not that that matters...but when it isn't anything special..unlike a lot of producers out here. the music itself is intrinsically interesting on the surface..just sayin don't confuse talent for your early encounters of this magical music..

He plays old trax when he djs, makes me think he doesn't put work in like the rest. If you saw the work rate out here y'all would amazed. The nu trax he sent me are weak! Honestly..think they're on youtube if you need to check them. The levels are just not high. Just listen and compare to the trax on any GhettoTekz mix or release to his shit.

Plus, most of all, Roc talks mad shit, as does his crew (BOTC). They think they run this shit but really, they're novices. The point is, beefin is unnecessary but they're startin it left right and centre with the people who started this shit. Recently, this week, there's been a whole lot of weak ass disses comin from BOTC towards OGz, vague threats of violence etc..

Plus, talk to kids in Chi, they'll tell you that you can't footwork to Roc trax like you can to the real trax.

I hope no one is gonna cry over this, my opionion isn't shit. But the general consensus over here might be interesting to someone on here...

literally bro iv'e spent so much on dance mania & subterranean this month iv'e left myself short, I'm really interested in the history and the development, but I understand as someone from overseas that the scene is hard to keep up with. You know what, fucking educate me, send me the mixtapes, i wont complain, honest!! lol

I'll do more updates after i finish my test tonight. But when you guys are talking about the original Hoes is Bussin, were you talking about this track?

http://beatport.com/s/t5Pqaf

If that's the case, it is on vinyl.

As for Jersey Club, check out Dj Tameil, DJ Jayhood, DJ Sliink, and DJ Tiga.

I'll get Tameil to get on dissensus, and explain the history of it. If you guys don't know Tameil, he explained to me he was the first and one of the only persons to actually get authorized, yes I said authorized, to make club music outside of baltimore by baltimore club dj's. But long story short, Jersey is as much a hub of mixed cultures as Chicago, New York, or London. In fact, they're at an interesting crossroads between Chicago house, Bmore club, and New York....whatever the hell is goin on in New York. They used to be much more Chicago house focused, but after the death of Dancemania, they pretty much went 100% baltimore, and after that, went wayyyy into it's own thing. Thats why Tameil's stuff sounds a much closer to the Baltimore style compared to the next gen producers like Tiga, and Jayhood. BTW, Jayhood created a subgenre of Jersey Club called "Booty Bounce"(?) I'm not 100% on that, but yeah, it's highlighted by the long breakdowns of just bass and a hooks. Like I said, Tameil!!! And yeah, for self-promo purposes:

yes what Neema said is right. Jersey shit is so fucking fun to play out too, makes people go nuts everytime. I play more of it when I DJ than I do foowork stuff usually.

I dunno wtf your talkin about with Jayhood's subgenre tho Neema (not saying it's not true) because most Jersey Club I heard from the generation after Tameil is bass and hooks, with minimal breaks

Yo Dave, i'm not 100% on the jersey scene, but I'll let those guys speak for themselves, haha. I'll get them to start posting people on the history of this stuff on dissensus.

yea Tameil is such a good producer, that 'deep inside 09 remix' fucking deep, can't find it anywhere to buy online either :-(

Here is a really good Tameil mix http://www.moveltraxx.com/article-moveltraxx-radio-show-4-w-dj-tameil-67291624.html

nnazem could you point me in the direction of some vinyl of the stuff that's post dance mania but before it went completely baltimore? not so much the hard house sound more the clean techno bit's, have rinsed d/mania, just tryna look out for some suggestions of other labels and maybe even d/mania reccomendations

Eh? Were they actually going to drive up and kick his ass if he made Baltimore-type tunes without permission?

Tameil's had releases on Dress 2 Sweat as well, Glasgow connection right there

Oh yeah, I wanted to say something about what you said earlier Dave, and how people actually enjoy dancin to this music. Even the Baltimore stuff, (the stuff that isn't completely repetitive) can be amazing music to listen too. It's just trends say stuff isn't danceable anymore, all the while, people still enjoy the hell outta it no matter where they are!

And this track by Sliink is a better representation of his amazing beats than the last one I posted:

nothing wrong with repetitive music. thats some of the best music ever made imo. dont let the prog-dance crew tell you otherwise. id rather listen to unruly club classics vol 3 than a lot of the deep/subtle etc stuff being made by post dubstep guys, myself.
