We need to think about reintroducing that dance back into the clubs. Inappropriate dancing manouevres are very now I think.

Gonna get my dancefloor learn on. I remember trying to get people at this free party to do this the other month, but they just looked at me like I was a babbling gibbon on too many pharmaceuticals (which to be fair I was).

bar rhumba's always been pretty relaxed about that sort of stuff when i've been, older (lol, +25) crowd but not exclusively so, I don't know about that particular night but that's my experiences of it. I wouldn't dress up to go there, it ain't that swish.

i hope the percussive element in funky gets a bit wilder. a bit dirtier... more propulsive and less tasteful. less in the background. basically, i hope the african influence goes a bit deeper than the lyrics on african warrior lol.

dubious lyrics, my inner finbar saunders finds the 'coming with my stick in my hand' lyric chortle worthy, that's why i'll play the dub, also you can hear the ambient 'jungle noises'

I think this is happning, the Lil Silva tune with the mad echoed out timbales fr one! & the dirty/grimey horns being used in alotta tunes, which are soooo far removed from the 'tastefull sax sample's of slick house!

The synergy b'tween 'funky' & new school South African House is nuts! This is more important to me than UK tunes sounding more 'african'

kind of, there is alot of f tasteful funky house from s africa and alot of house that uses those kind of african drums, thats not a new thing, the stuff from south africa that gets me more excited is the slightly old school chicago sounding stuff that's also pretty rough that they now call kwaito house, which is kwaito that seems to have gone the same evolution as grime into funky.
