I'm telling you, a HUGE factor in this is the Georgia Senate runs off in January. the GOP desperately needs the base to remain engaged and vote, so it's highly unlikely McConnell or any of the others (since they all follow Mitch) will take any position viewed as in opposition to Trump. if there was no run off to determine who controls the senate, the GOP (aside from the nutbags) would have all congratulated biden on his win by now and moved on from Donnie.

The military don't need to be involved domestically, they can create an overseas crisis to help justify taking over

also, his reasoning is laughable: well, you know, it's awkward for a losing president to greet the opponent who beat him in the election. and since trump is such a child, the best move is to spare Trump the discomfort and let Pence do it instead. LOL! The most important element here is Trump's feelings, not the fact that Biden won the electoral college!
