I'm reminded of that Charlie Brooker article in which he was reporting on Pete Doherty doing a gig at someone's house and rebelliously playing I Fought The Law when the police turned up - his response was something along the lines of "For the first time in my life I wished we lived in a brutal police state".

It's insane... so for weeks a load of protestors have been saying "we're gonna come to DC and disrupt the certification" and they have done exactly that and the certification has been delayed! Amazing. Are the security forces here incompetent or complicit?
