I'm inebriated enough to shit on a legend: CAN
should have sacked it after Future Days
ended up doing shit like this:
Can - E.F.S. Nr. 99 ("Can Can")
ffs - just awful
also responsible for the worst comeback album ever - Rite Time - more like "wrong time"
At least Slade didn't pretend to sing in tune. That's oasis shame.
They have some moments after Future Days, but yeah - diminishing returns. The crapness of the albums are in proportion to how cringe the pun titles are: Saw Delight; Rite Time...TBF though, the lost tapes that mute released in 2012 was class. But yeah after '73 they'd exhausted themselves.

Im actually pretty surprised to see saw delight on some of those lists. Im going to relisten but I dont remember it being so offensive. A tamed CAN doing a kind of Talking Heads instrumental thing, but just before Talking Heads themselves.
'Dont say no' is the big one off that album. good song. Sunshine day and night is also a good song. listening to Call Me now. There's one killer track on there, but I'm struggling to recall the rest - may have to dig the vinyl out late''r
if you know or think you know what a 'melodic progression' is you have no business listening to musicDon't get me wrong. I don't dislike them for the same reasons that Kulkarni does. I just hear gallagher singing dreadfully out of tune with some of the most dire melodic progressions put to record.
its very unbecoming of barty to throw around drumming credentials like thatone of bartys most astute opinions is that cans drummer is nothing special and can as a band dont have a single good tune
