Coincidentally I was travelling home last night and looking at all these really well dressed (in my eyes) people thinking jesus i've let my standards slip.

Not bought a pair of trainers since about 2020.

Onitsuka Tigers would've been a good move in 2020 but now everybody knows. Also they're too "international" for my brand. I need good American shoes

I learned a lot about wizardry. Spells and enchantment and such. These are important things and sometimes you can only get them by a pilgrimage to powerful island sorcerers. There was one guy who ran a restaurant called Maresia. He was definitely a Prospero type. Shirtless behind the bar, wrinkled brown skin, German tourists begging him for a reservation.

“An ugly thing, that is what you are when you become a tourist, an ugly, empty thing, a stupid thing, a piece of rubbish pausing here and there to gaze at this and taste that, and it will never occur to you that the people who inhabit the place in which you have just paused cannot stand you,”

was just reading this https://www.vox.com/culture/23798890/american-tourists-travel-trends-vacation-optimization and was wondering, is that a new thing that the whole of usa goes to europe in the summer or is that something recent?
