But there are probably loads of people born out of time like that. For every gamer or tiktoker who would have been unemployable at any other time in the past millennium there are also probably people who can't get a job but would have been a brilliant - I dunno - fletcher or able seaman or something if they'd been born in a different period. Them's the breaks.

most of the 'gamers' would be fucked, stuck on a youth opportunity scheme or stacking shelves in a supermarket ( I'm talking about twitch streamers ). The only person to have made a name for himself playing video games back then was Billy Mitchell and that was because he was a cheat ( see 'King of Kong' for proof )

some of the coders would have been OK though, there were a few low paying programming jobs 50 years ago

Well a lot of these games require wicked hand-eye coordination, so maybe some of them would have become top darts or snooker players or something?

A game where you need great control of (certain of) your muscles but don't have to be super fit, like you do for 'proper' sports.
