The Mac as nobody calls them were such a random and weird group; consider Albatross, Tusk and Dreams... all complely different in sound, but also in message and philosophy,, cos they were all written by different people from different continents who weren't even in the band at the same time

there were RUMOURS that the weird acid casualty on the next block to me in Hulme, Manchester was actually PETER who wrote tune called ALBATROSS

edit: his name was Peter Green and he once played guitar in a band, take that as you will

there were a few rock casualties in Manchester when I first moved here, the common denominator was you wouldn't want them in your flat because they'd soil your sofa and they would cover their bald spot with a leather cowboy hat

I'm a bit fucked off

I recently paid big money for the 180 gram "fully restored" OST of VIDEODROME

but pressing plants nowadays have zero quality control - click click pssst click pssst fuzz psst

Howard Shore - Long Live the New Flesh

but my Cabaret Voltaire LP that cost me £5 decades ago has a tune that has a similar melody and wrecks my hi-fi and is superior in all respects and plays perfect without a vinyl tic all these years later

Cabaret Voltaire - Theme From Earthshaker

#TEAM CABS

I really don't mind that they were "inspired"

FUCKING COSMIC SOUND REACHING FOR THE OUTER LIMITS OF THE UNIVERSE

LONG LIVE THE BILL FLESH!

@..... please tell me the MAC got it all wrong with coked up stadium drum lines

it's pretty cool

i saw them back in 90 due to be offered a free ticket by a first date, and the thing that stood out to me about it was when he came out from behind the drum set to do a solo with a bunch of drum triggers attached to his body

otoh, that starship song sucks so, so, so bad, i have to stop listening before i spiral
