Looks like grime MCs just can't stop getting their hands messy, sounds like Dizzle Kid got rushed by about 30 people but with Blacks getting most of the hits in.
I dunno, makes me feel like the scene is alive again but also that the venue is never gonna book grime again
Biggest Butterz show ever tonight To celebrate the forthcoming release of Rinse:17, Elijah & Skilliam are bringing a host of Grime talent to Rinse for a 4-hour marathon, tonight from 2300-0100 GMT. Expect appearances from Royal-T, Swindle, Faze Miyake, Preditah, D.O.K, Terror Danjah, Mr Mitch, Rude Kid and Teddy Music
Anyone check Trim's set on Rinse from the 25th? Kind of out the loop with this shit, but there's some brilliant instrumentals, especially in the first half. Trim goes in of course.

I'm not really comparing grime's output to anything else other than grime's previous output. Although though I imagine sales are increasingly never what they used to be, creatively I've been pretty happy with what American hip hop has had to offer this year. A friend of mine assures me dancehall has had a pretty great year as well in terms of activity, and house has done alright as well I'm told, although it usually does.
Grime this year just seemed to put forward very little at all, and whenever there was something, it wasn't that good, or exciting. I really hope 2012 is better. I'd hate to see grime die out creatively, especially when there is so much promising young talent that could keep the dice rolling.
