i missed the story about the dummy? what's that about?
Just some guy who has this weird dummy sat on the seat of his car. About two weeks ago went for a walk at night just to get some fresh air during the lockdown by wandering around while no-one was about and I was momentarily taken aback to see this poker-faced guy in glasses and a hat sitting there in the passenger seat of a parked car. But the girlfriend point out that a) it was in a dummy and that b) it's been there for ages and she just assumed that I was well aware of it when, in fact, I'd never noticed it before. Since then I always look for it and I've realised that sometimes it's in the driving seat, sometimes the one next to it, sometimes it has sunglasses, sometimes a mask, he varies the hats on its head and so on. I often go to take picture but lately the owner has taken to coming running out of the bar/takeaway place he owns and catching me in the act, causing me to shuffle off looking embarrassed. I think today he might have thought that my interest denoted me as a fellow dummy aficianado and he said I could open the door and get in and - this last bit was muffled - but I think he said "puxar um trem para ele" whatever that might mean.
But yeah I dunno why it's there, we don't have those lanes where you need a passenger to drive in them, and I can't believe that it's to prevent theft as that hasn't come to this part of Portugal yet. Really the only possible conclusion that we're left with is, that it is, in fact, a kidnap victim who has been given a drug that paralyzed him so that he can be cruelly hidden in plain sight, with his face muscles desperately fighting to muster a cry for help through the whole day, before his master drags him into the back of the van and forces him to do unspeakable acts that someone as innocent as me could not even begin to imagine.
